At a benefit Monday for the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, Oscar-nominated actor Joaquin Phoeniz (Walk the Line, We Own the Night) announced that his latest film would be his last. Instead of continuing with his extremely successful acting career, Pheonix wants to focus on his music career.

“Spring Awakening” took the Broadway stage by storm in 2006 and is not done. The musical has won 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical in 2007.

Many U.S. citizens may have never imagined it, but a felon now holds a public office. Alaksa Sen. Ted Stevens was convicted Monday on felony charges. Stevens was found guilty of lying about various gifts he received from a successful oil contractor while in office.

PLU Registration Changes

Recently the office of the Registrar sent out the email to all PLU students regarding registration times. The times are as follows Graduate/Priority* registration-Nov. 10. Seniors- Nov. 11-12, Juniors-Nov. 12-13, Sophomores-Nov. 14-17, First year- Nov. 18-19. Unnoticed by most students, included in priority students is IHON (International Honors formerly Core II).
