Lance Armstrong is out of retirement. The 7 time Tour de France champion made the announcement in September during an interview with Vanity Fair. He say he’ll use the return to racing as way to spread his message about cancer.

Gov. Chris Gregoire wants the youth vote of Washington, but her Halloween costume may be aiming a tad too young. The governor plans to dress up as animated television star Dora, from Dora the Explorer.  Her husband is set to be Dora’s sidekick, Boots the monkey.

Chicago took a pitch to Beijing to try and host the 2016 summer Olympic games.
The last American city to host an Olympic games was Salt Lake city in 2002; that was the winter Olympics. The last American city to host a summer Olympic games was Atlanta back in 1996.

Being down two games in a five game match has proven to be no problem for the Lady Lutes volleyball team the last two years facing the UPS Loggers.  Last season, when PLU traveled across town and played UPS, they quickly fell into a 2-0 hole, before storming back and beating the Loggers 3-2.
