This is the third year in a row that head coach, Kevin Aoki, has led the volleyball team to the first round of regional 
playoffs, only to lose. There is a saying that goes, "Third time’s a charm." It may be that third time that seals the deal for
Aoki, nevertheless he has given life to a volleyball team that has seen no worse a finish than 4th place, except one during his 13 year tenure at PLU. On a good note, Aoki is coach of the year for the fifth time and five girls are on the All-Northwest Volleyball team, including Beth Hanna as Player of the Year.
