The fate of 12 of your fellow students’ hair is in your hands.
This week Dec. 1st – Dec. 4th, Progress is raising money for children in need at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. Volunteers will be around campus asking for your donation to help children that cannot afford their medical care.
Progress volunteers will wear identifying shirts and be carrying cans to receive donations. Students have the option of donating money towards saving or shaving the volunteer’s hair.
Whichever container carries the most money determines whether the volunteer keeps their lovely locks or not. All week during dinner a table will be outside the U.C. to collect donations as well.
The brave volunteers are: Ashley Wright, David Steele, Gabri Kirkendall, Eric Pfaff, Philip Kendall, Audra Stafford, Megan Long, Luis Gomez, Jonathan Garcia, Alayna Linde, Jackie Lemon, and Randi Irby.
Thursday, Dec. 4th at 5:30pm the money will be counted and the razors will be ready. Make sure you’re in the U.C. to watch the drama unfold.
Progress is a charity based club dedicated to raising money through community activities for children who cannot afford health care. Progress operates with the belief that all children have the right to health care. All money donated to Progress goes directly to Mary Bridge’s Free Care Fund which supports families who cannot afford their child’s medicial care.
This week make sure and find a volunteer and donate a few bucks to benefit children in need. And possibly add 12 new bald students to campus.
And why Miss Melissa are you not going bald to raise a buck or two? I promise I will not call you testicle head…maybe.
